Fear the noise of the [-PostHuMeroUs

Ok, my third attempt at circuit bending, and the result is ++poStHuMeRouS.

This basically came about from an kids electronic keyboard i picked up from the local market for about

7$ AUD . It sat in the cupboard for quite some time until i got motivaed again to do something cool with it. The main change on the unit is this ace new colour scheme which was done with metalic acrylics.

The original unit was green, blue and red... the current scheme is a metallic silver green matched with a metalic cherry red. Im very happy with the finish of the unit as my last bend was pretty rough.

So... getting back to the bends. This one was kept pretty simple as there was already so much to play with on the keyboard. Not only did the original keyboard have a selection of 8 basic voices ( from piano to guitar to bell ) it also featured built in rythms like waltz and disco, the ability to record short sequences of key presses, a simple 4 sample drum section and 4 synth sounds.

I added three switches and a 1/8 jack ( there wasnt enough room for a 1/4 ).

Bend 1 :- Basically threw the unit into a simple overdrive mode which maxed out the volume way above what the volume switch would go. This gave some simple but nice distortion.

Bend 2 :- Cut the siginal short and gave some chunky fuzz, sounded great on the preset songs and piano.

Bend 3 :- I could only get this working when switch one was also on, this bend resulted in the unit slowing glitching out on both the instruments and the preset songs. Everything would start out fine, but as things progressed the rythms would get glitchy and crunchy (nice!) . This also freaked out the lower keys and gave them this strange resonating pitch. Pressing the drums would also freak it out giving a nice snare rush or crazy feedback.
